The Shruti Box is a small wooden instrument used to provide a drone -a harmonic or monophonic effect where a note or chord is continuously sounded throughout most or all of a piece- in a live session of Indian classical music.

The Shruti Box is also the name of an Indian online buzzing Music production. Music videos recorded, performed and directed by the young clarinetist and composer Shankar Tucker.

A magnificent mix of modern clarinet, Indian classical Music, jazz and Indian Folk, where Shankar Tucker plays a wide range of instruments : piano, bass, kanjira, tabla, and other percussion instruments.

The Shruti Box project features Shankar Tucker's compositions, and his arrangements of traditional and classical songs wonderfully interpreted by multi-background Indian artists, who are not afraid of style mixing and whose voices are precious pieces of heaven.
